Spanish wind farms kill 6 – 18 million birds & bats a year
On 12 January 2012, at the First Scientific Congress on Wind Energy and Wildlife Conservation in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, the Spanish Society of Ornithology (SEO/Birdlife) made public its estimate that, yearly, Spain’s 18,000 wind turbines may be killing 6 to 18 million birds and bats .

Spanish wind farms kill 6 – 18 million birds & bats a year
Le 12 Janvier 2012, lors du premier congrès scientifique sur l'énergie éolienne et de la faune à Jerez de la Frontera, en Espagne, la Société espagnole d'ornithologie (SEO / Birdlife) a rendu public son estimation que, chaque année, 18 000 éoliennes en Espagne peuvent tuer 6 à 18 millions d'oiseaux et les chauves-souris.

Effects of industrial wind turbine noise on sleep and health
Industrial wind turbines (IWTs) are a new source of noise in previously quiet rural environments. Environmental noise is a public health concern, of which sleep disruption is a major factor.
